The ZAN Ceramics Botanical Collection feature highly-detailed, hand-carved, white porcelain and smooth white stoneware vases. These modern, organic inspired, sculpted vases are first formed on a potter's wheel and designed by surrounding the vase with leafy plant inspired patterns carved deeply into the clay.

Our Intertwining-Leaf Hand-Carved Bud-Vase is small and elegantly carved showing the relief of leafy carvings flowing all around the vase with it's vines intersecting and intertwining around each other.

Susanne designed this collection to be an ideal gift. They are small, uniquely feminine making them a special gift. Clearly, good things do come in small packages!  

Just right for any environment, they fit perfectly with both traditional and modern settings. Display them with fresh flowers or as an unadorned art piece as they
come pre-adorned with flower and leaf carvings!

These high-fired porcelain and stoneware vases are available in several glazes
and finishes.

• White, with a clear glossy glaze overall
  
  
• Bisque finished (unglazed outside with clear glaze inside), the elegance of the totally vitrified white natural color of the clay is showcased. The relief details of the carvings stand out in this understated effect. 
  
  
• Bisque finish with choices of "shadow" underglaze colors that are applied only in the deeply carved crevices to highlight the detail with a hint of color (shown here with a Chartreuse shadow glaze), leaving the majority of the piece in the natural white of the clay color.

High-fired porcelain and stoneware is almost indestructible and if you don’t drop it, it will still be around a thousand years from now! But it is breakable, so treat it kindly.
